aniYo
kore – Tally Sticks
After four albums, several singles and intensive live shows one of the most interesting duos in experimental electronic music immerses further into the musical and emotional depths of dub, trip hop, electronica, indie, hip hop and dubstep with their latest LP "Tally Sticks". aniYo kore create their own sounds and samples from their surroundings on the search for what holds it all together: the soul. Emanating through the heart of the LP lies a mysterious, sometimes melancholic magic akin to Portishead's Bristol days, a foundation across the filigree vocals on dragging beats and subsonic frequencies. These two Dortmund folks are strongly connected to their local underground art, hip hop and dubstep scene, producing compilation tapes and events in support of local artists. They have earned themselves respect from a wide fanbase through the revelation of themselves in intimate perfomances and frequent individually-crafted vinyl releases.
The new songs tell of essential moments of live in the critical counting in society, sensing and casting its individual traces. The Sticks in the title are not only sticks on which one can raise themselves, but also those pistols forged by Babylon itself. "Tally Sticks" by aniYo kore was released on October 10th 2015 on no label.

After two years of sound research, numerous live shows, single releases, remixes and dubplates aniYo kore's new LP "Tally Sticks" was released on October 10th 2015. Voices and sounds oscilliate contemplatively and deeply between low basses of dub and dubstep, underground hip hop and trip hop beats, electronically processed color shades of everyday life and speckles of folk and indie. Music that breaks open and becomes an expression to new spaces full of depth.
